Lynette Rosen

Lynette Rosen

LJ (Lynette) Rosen lives and works in San Diego, California.  She is a natural and self-taught artist.  She came to enameling through attending courses taught by Pat Aiken at the San Diego Community College. Originally she was looking to learn another technique she could utilize to enhance her glasswork and found another medium in which she loves to work.  Continuing to enhance her skills she has taken seminars and workshops with a variety of other enamel artists including Harlan Butt and Dorothy Stephenson.

LJ is a multi-disciplinary artist in that she also sculpts and works with glass and metal.  She did a workshop while in New Mexico with the renowned Native American artist Roxanne Swentzell and attended a glass casting workshop at the Bullseye Glass studios.

Lynette is known as an experimentalist in that she loves to learn the given technique for making an object and then pushes it to its limits to reveal new results.  Many times beautiful and exquisite works emerge and sometimes they end up in the toss pit.  Combining disciplines in a single work is a hallmark

Her work has been acquired by collectors from all over the world and as a result is represented in many states in America and in over 10 countries internationally.  Lynette also teaches private lessons.
